My first job was interviewing Taraji P. Henson as she served as Grand Marshall for Howard University's Homecoming in October 2009

I learned how to type on a traditional electronic typewriter.

Social media is the news! It is up to verified and qualified journalists to sort through all the information and make great decisions.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
Being a journalist me that I have the opportunity to share what inspires me to masses of people and hopefully inspire and enrapture them.

Adobe illustration products and similar software. Microsoft Office, and research tools for writing.

Why did you become a journalist?
I wanted to share my stories as a social writer and community journalist for AFRO.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, although a good writer and analyst, I worked for the junior high yearbook team.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I am very proud to have shared my one on one interview with costume designer Johnetta Boone with my readers. Johnetta is so inspiring!

Research, research, research!
