What was your first job as a journalist?
Assistant news editor at my student college newspaper, The Murray State News.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Email, but I still like old-fashioned phone calls.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter.
Why did you become a journalist?
Becaue I believe you must exercise First Amendment rights to keep them healthy and flourishing.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes. I was the entertainment editor. My adviser told me I'd never make it as a print journalist.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal.
