Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment’s Avatar game was finally revealed with a first look trailer during Ubisoft Forward. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a first person, action-adventure game featuring a standalone Avatar story and it’s coming exclusively to new-gen consoles. Players assume the role of a Na’vi as they head into the Western Frontier, a completely new region of Pandora that has a host of new characters and creatures.

Don't Expect the Ubisoft Avatar Project to Release Prior to April 2022

Much of the release date chatter surrounding Ubisoft’s Avatar game has revolved around when the title won’t hit stores. This latest development update is no different. A recent conference call held by Ubisoft noted the Avatar project will launch sometime after April 2022 but before March 2023. Niko Partners Senior Analyst Daniel Ahmad relayed the news in a brief Twitter post, which also outlined Ubisoft’s release plans for the newly delayed Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine.

Yes, the Ubisoft Avatar Game from The Division Team is Still Happening

It’s been quite some time since developer Ubisoft Massive shared an update about its Avatar game. At present, it does not seem as though this will change in any drastic manner soon. However, the team is at least willing to inform those interested that the project remains in production. At a preview event for The Division 2’s Warlords of New York expansion, Screen Rant asked developers about progress on Avatar.
