Have you ever used a typewriter?
Growing up, my dad and grandpa both had typewriters. I loved tapping away at the keys, composing my stories.
What's your favorite social network?
I'm not super active on social media, but I'd have to say Instagram with their emphasis on photos.
Why did you become a journalist?
I've always loved writing and research. Imagine my excitement when I found a field that combined those passions!
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't be afraid to tackle new topics and genres. You might just be surprised by what you find.
What's your favorite drink?
Depending on my mood, Kona coffee, watermelon lemonade, and Bali green tea with a splash of pomegranate juice.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I love reading Brandon Sanderson's blog, National Geographic, Outside Magazine, and the Paleontological Society.
