Ayden Hector WSU exhibited a penchant for academic excellence. Throughout his four-year tenure at Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish, WA, he consistently earned a place on the honor roll, a testament to his unwavering dedication to learning. Graduating from one of the region's premier institutions in 2020, his education was holistic, encompassing a range of subjects and activities. His proficiency in Microsoft applications, acquired during these formative years, proved invaluable during his collegiate journey. Simultaneously, his athletic prowess was evident during high school, particularly in football, where he secured a spot as an all-state player over several seasons. Post-graduation, he embarked on a new chapter, enrolling at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. The institution's synergy with his love for outdoor activities and mountainous terrain was a natural fit. Undeterred by his myriad commitments, Ayden has maintained his academic trajectory, pursuing a business major to graduate ahead of schedule in December 2023.
Notably, he has also thrived on the football field, donning the colors of the Colorado State Rams football team. His exceptional skills as a defensive back earned him all-conference recognition in a truncated 2022 season, where he displayed remarkable achievements, including 24 tackles and three interceptions. A standout performance on October 7, 2022, highlighted his prowess with eight tackles, an interception, and a touchdown return. Beyond his accomplishments, Ayden's commitment to community service shines brightly. At Eastside Catholic, he established and led B.Box, a venture delivering monthly birthday packages to teen homeless shelters. This dedication persists at Colorado State University, where he collaborates with the on-campus food pantry to ensure regular deliveries of B.Boxes. His outreach extends to initiatives like Pick 6, teaching flag football and instilling leadership skills in youth, and his involvement with Relay for Life and the Tent City organization addressing homelessness.
