Disentangling metabolic impairment in the liver-heart axis: tissue-specific insulin sensitivity in type 2 diabetes
Abstract Aims/hypothesis: The liver-heart axis in type 2 diabetes (T2D) reflects key metabolic interactions disrupted by insulin resistance (IR). Organ-specific effects of insulin remain unclear due to challenges in measuring tissue-level IR.
Repository of Intervertebral Disc Patient-Specific Finite Element Models
Free-access repository of 169 patient-personalized (PP) finite element (FE) intervertebral disc (IVD) models. This cohort was generated through a morphing pipeline and released to empower the scientific community. The initiative reflects our commitment to standardization and supports a more comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms underpinning IVD degeneration.
Inelastic mechanical descriptors for osteoporotic hip fracture discrimination with 3D-DXA-based nonlinear finite element models
1 Introduction Osteoporosis is identified by a loss of bone mass leading to bone strength reduction. It evolves silently, and its late diagnosis and/or lack of prevention may lead to fragile fractures, loss of life quality, as well as a significant excess of mortality for the patients (Kanis et al., 2021).

Phenotypic patterns of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease in type 2 diabetes: The impact of insulin
DATA AVAILABILITY STATEMENT The participants of this study did not give written consent for their data to be shared publicly, so due to the sensitive nature of the research, supporting data is not available.
Longitudinal Assessment of Abnormal Cortical Folding in Fetuses and Neonates With Isolated Non‐Severe Ventriculomegaly
1 Introduction Ventriculomegaly (VM) is a pathological condition defined by an enlargement of the brain's ventricular system (Scott et al. 2013; Kyriakopoulou et al. 2014; Benkarim et al. 2018; Benkarim et al. 2020; Benkarim et al. 2017). It is one of the most common brain anomalies diagnosed in fetuses, with an incidence of around 1% of pregnancies (Salomon et al. 2007; Huisman et al. 2012).

OC14.07: Cortical development in fetal growth restriction: a neuroimaging study
Objectives To study the global changes in FGR by automatic segmentation and cortical reconstruction in fetal brain MRI and explore which cortical areas are most affected. Methods Low-resolution 2D MRI T2-Haste scans were acquired and 3D MRI images were generated with a super-resolution reconstruction algorithm. An automated method segmented the brain into white matter (WM), grey matter (GM), and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) tissues, and further into 87 regions.
Cardiometabolic sex differences in adults born small for gestational age
1. Introduction Sex differences are present in the incidence and prognosis of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). While CVD is usually less frequent in females, female show higher rates of mortality and hospitalization and worse prognosis after acute cardiovascular events (1). Reduced patient awareness and clinician bias are potential important factors for delayed diagnosis and treatment and worse prognosis in female (2–4).
