Reporter for the "Black Bitch" Magazine in my home town

No, I was born in '98 and it was always something I desperately wanted
How is social media changing news?
Of course, it's quicker and more easily accesible but its also providing a platform for everyone to be a journalist in their own way
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
I grew up on Gilmore girls and it's still my go-to comfort series so I would have to say Rory Gilmore
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means telling a story, reporting the truth and bringing an issue to an audience who need to know, will react and make the world better.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
By email but I'm happy to be approached anywhere!
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Medium, Issu, Canva and a trusty google doc
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter, closely followed by Instagram or Pinterest

Emily Maitlis, if I could the approval of someone like her, I would never ask for anything again!
Why did you become a journalist?
It's all I wanted to be from a young age- a writer, a presenter, a story teller- I can't explain it more than it being a calling or a reflex
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I was a reporter for my high school newspaper "the Academy Press", I primarily wrote opinion pieces but also film and TV reviews
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I wrote a blog post which was a letter to the guy that raped my friend during our third year of university. It was very powerful and emotive
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
As an aspiring journalist, it's difficult to say what I would tell someone in a similar position but write and keep on writing really!

Since I'm an aspiring journalist- anytime!

The map for shopping sustainably in Dundee. It was so on trend and a fun project to be a part of

Coffee before 5, Tequila after
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In a coffee shop queue or shopping for books
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I have quite widespread interests but I am an avid fan of Conde Nast Traveller, Vanity Fair and TIME Magazine
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
Lifestyle is frivolous and superficial, Travel is elitist and inaccessible and Opinion is not journalism.
