For the past eight years, our legislative sessions have been overwhelmingly successful. This one was no exception. We faithfully stayed the successful course of the last eight years while tackling new challenges. We continued cutting taxes, limiting spending and building the rainy-day fund. Tennessee’s credit remains Triple-A rated and our debt low. Our primary objective this year was the same as it always is: the passage of a balanced budget.
