Unfortunately, the back of the house with the family room (where hubs and I spend most of our time) does not have AC. When it gets too much, I head for the bedroom with the all the four legged critters (who seem to have more sense than their 2-legged "masters!" I dread the gas and electric bill this month.

My dad worked for the government and he was stationed in Alice Springs, NT Aus in the early 70's. I got a job at the town Abattoir the last summer we were there. One of the jobs they gave me was working the "Kill Box". Even though this was a small volume facility (50 head was a VERY busy day), I probably shot over 1000 head during my time there, as well as dispatching hogs and sheep. We used a .22 Long Rifle cartridge.

Wed May 3, 2023, 08:47 AM Forget the obvious problem with a four time deported Mexican resident. Today what we learned is that he abused and beat up his wife. The man was prone to domestic violence AND he had a gun. And he used that gun quite liberally, apparently. So, THERE is the reason why a spouse with a record of domestic violence SHOULD NOT own a gun. Didn't we have a nutcase right-wing judge who ruled otherwise? The danger to society is now apparent.

Going to school doesn't mean you availed yourself of the education offered to you. That includes students who got the grades necessary to go to Yale and Harvard. This happens all the time. The Moonies used to send people to college to get the paperwork, but they learned nothing while they were there.

Currently I have two older vehicles that I like for different reasons. 1992 Toyota 4runner, 240K+ miles. 2004 BMW X3i, 165K miles. I just refurbished much of the under hood things on the Toyota in the last couple years... stuff just wears out.

However, 32 teams playing a 17 game regular schedule leaves 272 total wins for the league next year. If we assume that each of these predictions utilize the next closest integer, they just predicted 288 wins. Obviously that is a significant assumption, but the only unders are the Jets, Jags, Boys, and Bears.
