WAT-to-BAT communication facilitates the sustained activation of BAT thermogenesis during cold exposure
Abstract The activation of brown adipose tissue (BAT) for thermogenesis represents a crucial physiological mechanism that helps maintain body temperature during cold exposure. Nevertheless, the exact mechanisms underlying the sustained activation of BAT under cold conditions remain incompletely understood. In this study, we reveal that soluble ST2 (sST2) mediates a white adipose tissue (WAT)-to-BAT endocrine mechanism that is essential for the continuous activation of BAT during cold exposure.
Numerical evaluation of existing p-y models for the laterally loaded pile in clay

Abdominal aortic aneurysm is a systemic and generalized arteriomegaly in mice and humans - Scientific Reports
Abstract Although the pathogenesis of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) remains largely unclear, evidence is accumulating to suggest the systemic nature of this disease. Here, we comprehensively assessed the whole aortic tree with its major branches based on computed tomography angiography (CTA) in AAA patients compared to ascending thoracic aortic aneurysm (ATAA) patients and nonaneurysmal controls, as well as in an original mouse model of AAA in Lkb1flox/flox;Myh11-Cre/ERT2 mice.

Bearing Behavior of Large-Diameter Monopile Foundations of Offshore Wind Turbines in Weathered Residual Soil Seabeds
1. Introduction Wind energy is one of the most widely used renewable energy sources, and offshore wind power has the advantages of stable wind speed, abundant resources and no occupation of arable land compared with onshore wind energy [1,2]. In recent years, the rapid development of global offshore wind power has become an important means to promote industrial transformation and energy revolution [3,4].

ERAP Inhibitors in Autoimmunity and Immuno-Oncology: Medicinal Chemistry Insights
The endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidases (ERAPs) are intracellular are intracellular M1 family proteases involved in the antigen processing and presentation pathway (Figure 1). These enzymes have attracted much attention since their role in antigen presentation was discovered by N. Shastri (murine ERAAP), (1,2) York and Goldberg (ERAP1), (3,4) and by P. van Endert (ERAP2).
Selective deletion of E3 ubiquitin ligase FBW7 in VE-cadherin-positive cells instigates diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in mice in vivo - Cell Death & Disease
Abstract During the maturation of hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells (HSPCs) to fully differentiated mature B lymphocytes, developing lymphocytes may undergo malignant transformation and produce B-cell lymphomas.

Smooth Muscle Heterogeneity and Plasticity in Health and Aortic Aneurysmal Disease
Abstract : Vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) are the predominant cell type in the medial layer of the aorta, which plays a critical role in the maintenance of aortic wall integrity. VSMCs have been suggested to have contractile and synthetic phenotypes and undergo phenotypic switching to contribute to the deteriorating aortic wall structure.
Influence of Soil Plug on the Seismic Response of Bucket Foundations in Liquefiable Seabed
3. Influence of Soil Plug on OWT Bucket Foundation Response By comparing the results of bucket foundation response analysis with and without soil plug (simulations one–four and five–eight in Table 4), the influence of the soil plug can be identified.

Thionated Benzo[c]thiophen-1(3H)-one as Organic Cathodes with High Capacity for Sulfur-rich All Organic Lithium-ion Battery
Thionated Benzo[c]thiophen-1(3H)-one as Organic Cathodes with High Capacity for Sulfur-rich All Organic Lithium-ion Battery Organic materials have potential advantages in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) due to their environmental friendliness, flexible designability, and high theoretical capacity. However, the commonly low electrical conductivity and high solubility of conventional organic materials limit their further applications.

An abnormal structure of the left ventricle
CLINICAL INTRODUCTION A 36-year-old man was referred for evaluation of an abnormal left ventricular (LV) structure found incidentally on transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) (figure 1). He had no symptoms except for mild palpitations. There was no significant medical history. Physical examination was unremarkable. ECG showed regular sinus rhythm with ST changes in lead II, III, avF and V6 (see online supplementary file 1). Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) (figure 1C) was performed.
