Ever since I was young, I loved the operations side of sporting events. I would create the batting lineup document, line the baseball field, and operate the scoreboard for my brother’s Little League team. For eight years, I was a volunteer youth soccer referee for the local league.
Entering high school, I got involved with the athletic department and worked in game operations, comprising 33 varsity roster teams. My tasks included operating the department/team social media pages, scoreboard, public address announcer, A/V system, facilities setup/teardown, tickets, and ushering teams to their team bench and locker room.
In my senior year, I was the first-ever student to be invited to a two-credit course where I worked directly with the athletic director as his student intern during the school day. In addition, the Superintendent of Schools hired me back to work as a paid intern this summer in the athletic department.
I’m now attending Ithaca College as a first-year sophomore. I transferred 37 credits from my high school’s dual enrollment program and AP test scores. I’m currently on track to graduate a year early, in May 2026.
I cherish each experience I have been offered and am actively chasing my dream to become an NCAA Division I Athletic Director.
