What does it mean to be a journalist?
For the writing which I do as an arts critic, it means more than simply enjoying the work of the medium but understanding it thoroughly.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did work for my high school newspaper, as the Entertainment section editor for three years.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Walking around listening to any of the myriad podcasts in my feed.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I spend a lot of time reading John Gruber's work on Daring Fireball. He has managed to convey his tech expertise very humanely.
