Benjamin M. Soto has built a career in the real estate industry, where he has practiced as a real estate attorney for over three decades. He is the owner of two real estate-related companies and is a member of both the DC Bar and the Pennsylvania Bar.
Benjamin owns Premium Title & Escrow, LLC, a full-service title company that manages commercial and residential real estate settlements in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Tennessee. Founded in 2000, the firm has remained one of the top volume title companies in the DMV area, as reported by the Washington Business Journal.
His team brings together 100 years of combined experience. They conduct detailed title searches and closing services to ensure that buyers and lenders receive a marketable title. The company issues both Owner’s Title Policies, which protect property owners from financial losses caused by title-related issues, and Lender’s Title Policies, which safeguard the lender’s lien position. Premium Title & Escrow, LLC also coordinates the entire settlement process, including document preparation, escrow fund management, and recording documents with the Land Records, ensuring transactions are smooth and accurate.
Benjamin also leads Paramount Development, LLC, a company specializing in commercial acquisitions and the development of buildings and hotels from the ground up in Washington, D.C. The firm has been involved in projects such as The Wharf and several apartment buildings, including 555 E Street, SW; 1031 4th Street, NW; and 350 Maple Drive. The 555 E Street property is a 12-story mixed-use development that features a 253-room hotel, residential units, and over 10,000 square feet of retail space.
Another notable project is the Hyatt Place Hotel at 400 East Street, SW. Completed in 2015, it features modern design, advanced technology, and a state-of-the-art fire station. This fire station houses Engine Company 13, Truck Company 10, and Foam Unit 2, which is tasked with protecting the U.S. President.
Benjamin serves on the Board of Directors of EagleBank, one of the largest community banks in the region, with assets exceeding $11 billion and 22 branches across Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Additionally, he serves on the boards of the DC Chamber of Commerce, where he has been a member for 10 years, and the DC Public Education Fund, where he has been a member for 19 years. He is also a member of the American University Real Estate Council.

At the beginning of his career, he handled personal and commercial bankruptcy cases. Over time, he shifted his focus to real estate, managing closings for developers, agents, loan officers, government agencies, and other industry professionals.
Throughout his career, Benjamin has remained actively engaged in both professional and community roles. He was Vice Chair of the Board of Real Property Assessment and Appeals, a Board member of the National Bar Association, a Trustee of Georgetown Day School, and a member of the DC Sports & Entertainment Commission, which oversaw the development of Nationals Park. He is also an investor in the Washington Nationals baseball team.
In addition, he has contributed his time as treasurer for 16 mayoral and council campaigns in Washington, D.C.
He is dedicated to giving back. As a founding Board Director of the DC Public Education Fund, he has supported education initiatives in the city. He also serves as a Board Director of the National Foundation for Affordable Housing Solutions, a nonprofit that preserves affordable housing and develops new communities for low-income families through partnerships and federal financing programs.
He grew up in Washington, D.C., and attended American University. He has been married for 27 years, and he and his wife have two children. Their daughter, Danielle, is 24 years old and works in New York City as a media and crisis strategist. Their son, Alex, is a junior at Northeastern University, studying economics and finance.
