Donald Trump. We used to talk regularly (in 2007-08, during the Meadowlands EnCap saga). Lately, not so much. Maybe he's busy.
Why did you become a journalist?
I like to explain what's happening. Turning complicated into understandable is deeply satisfying.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
my HS didn't have a newspaper. or a football team. or a band.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
talk to real people - not just the people in power or the people presented to you as the truthtellers.
When's the best time to pitch you?
anytime - I always catch up eventually - but especially late mornings
