Thank you for recommending five of the best books by or about William Blake. Why is Blake such an interesting writer, artist and thinker? He had a sense of what was going on in his times, which in many ways, have become our times. He had a spiritual analysis of the currents that so powerfully shape our day. The “dark, satanic mills” of the Industrial Revolution, are an obvious pointer; he was looking at a culture that orients itself around mechanised production and pays a price.
