Bernard Chiguvare is a Zimbabwean-born freelance journalist based in South Africa. He reports on public health, climate, and social justice, with a focus on marginalized communities and service delivery. He began reporting in 2015 with GroundUp and later contributed to Limpopo Mirror, where his stories often prompted government response and intervention.
In 2023, Bernard published a story with Mongabay on a community facing displacement linked to mining expansion, which sparked his growing interest in conservation and climate reporting through Mongabay webinars. In 2024, he was selected as a Dialogue Earth grantee to deepen his climate reporting, and since 2025 he was also a cohort 6 Tekano Health Equity Fellow and has contributed to Health-e News, covering housing, public health, and access to healthcare.
