Letter: Part of housing solution exists on Yunker Farm land
For many years, Fargo’s city commissioners, developers, and planners have expressed a dire need for affordable housing opportunities in the city. Most recently, a Feb. 16th Forum story declared that 200 units per year are necessary to keep up with population growth and housing demand in Fargo. Many worthwhile projects for affordable rentals are underway, including senior apartments at the old Kmart location and an overhaul of downtown’s high rise.

Redlining became a popular practice in the 1930s as a way for the U.S. government to segregate housing stock by making housing programs exclusively beneficial to white people.

Personally, the cartoon was distasteful and disrespectful. We were both employed along with the individuals labeled as “bad seeds” for many years. All the individuals named have worked in the human services system for 25 plus years.
