Amish Romance: The Amish Matchmakers, The Courtship Plan and The Proposal Plot #BookReview #Audiobook
After reading several thrillers, I wanted something that was an easy read, and would calm my mind. I enjoy Amish Fiction, and with Kathleen Fuller’s newest book in a trilogy coming out in a couple of weeks, I knew which books I wanted to read or listen to. I was able to find all three of these books on audio through my library on hoopla. All of them were narrated by Lauren Berst and she did a wonderful job. I have enjoyed her narration many times and her voice fits these Amish stories well.
Amish Romance Author Q&A: Beth Wiseman (The Amish Matchmakers)
FF: What inspired the story in your book? While this is a stand-alone book, I fell in love with my characters in a prior series. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to them. I brought back Lizzie and Esther, the elderly widows who own The Peony Inn in my Amish Inn Series. I felt like I knew them so well that the story just blossomed organically. This was truly one of my favorite books to write. FF: What can you tell us about the main characters in your book? There are five main characters in this story.

Review by Kristina A, Reviewer Last updated on 06 Oct 2021 My Recommendation A Season of Change by Beth Wiseman is the 3rd An Amish Inn Novel. It can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading all three books in the sweet series. There is a great cast of characters. I love the sisters, Esther and Lizzie. They are entertaining and had me laughing. The secondary characters are just as developed. Rose is the latest helper at the bed and breakfast.

Review by Kristina A, Reviewer Last updated on 14 Dec 2020 My Recommendation A Picture of Love by Beth Wiseman is the debut of The Amish Inn Novels. This was an entertaining Amish story. I found it to be well-written with the story moving along at a steady pace. The characters are developed and lively. Lizzie and Esther are a hoot. I just love the widowed sisters who know each other’s foibles and bicker frequently. They are as opposite as two sisters can be (remind me of my sister and myself).

An Amish Christmas Bakery
Review by Kristina A, Reviewer Last updated on 02 Oct 2019 My Recommendation An Amish Christmas Bakery by Amy Clipston, Beth Wiseman, Kelly Irvin and Kathleen Fuller contains four Amish Christmas stories filed with joy, hope, faith, and love. I thought they were all well-written with steady pacing and relatable characters. I enjoyed reading each of the four tales. While the stories are cohesive (bakery theme), each novella has the authors distinctive writing voice.

CHAPTER 1 Natalie pulled her coat snug as she crossed the yard, hurrying toward Mary and Levi's house. She was anxious to get inside the warm home as she eyed smoke billowing from the chimney. The heat had gone out in her SUV over a week ago, but her class schedule hadn't allowed time for repairs yet. Her teeth chattered as she knocked on the door. Lucas wasn't here yet, but the icy weather might have slowed him down.

Her father was laid off from the RV factory in Indiana and was unable to find other work.

Eight years later CHAPTER 1 Is Adeline dying?" Mary Hershberger recalled her trip to the Englisch funeral when she was ten. She'd been to plenty of funerals since then — Amish and Englisch — but she dreaded every single one she attended. The Englisch focused more on the life the person led while on earth. Mary's people praised Gott's goodness more than they reflected on the person who had passed. Both ceremonies always left her with a deep sense of sadness that she would hold on to for weeks.
The Mary Reader
Adrien Lockman is through with the political unrest and bloodshed in his home country of France, so he sets off to the Canadian territory's mountain frontier, in search of a place where a man can live his own life in peace. The last thing he expects to find is a woman, half-starved and half-frozen in a shack nestled among the towering peaks of the great Rocky Mountains. Mary Standish thought she'd finally found a place where she was accepted, trapping with her husband for the Hudson Bay Company.
The Mary Reader

An Amish Christmas Love
Review by Kirby B, Reviewer Last updated on 02 Aug 2017 Ever since discovering Beverly Lewis' books when I was a young teenager, I've always loved inspirational Amish fiction. The Amish culture is something I was never really familiar with before that, but I've come to really appreciate their culture through the beautiful books I've read about it.
