How is social media changing news?
Twitter is now the breaking news so it's where I turn when there is something immediate happening.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
I love telling others stories and sharing their thoughts, ideas, journeys, and struggles.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I love getting a really unique story angle either via social media or email.
Why did you become a journalist?
I love to write, interview people and share their stories.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I'm most proud of a very personal story I wrote about my daughter's struggle with an eating disorder. It captured a lot of attention.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
Unfortunately, I get a lot of terrible pitches that are 1) not targeted to me and 2) filled with grammatical errors.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
on the beach!
