For almost 20 years, Dr. Beth Grosshans ran her own psychology practice in Flemington, New Jersey. She stepped aside in 2011 to pursue other interests, one of which is giving speeches based on her 2008 book, Beyond Time Out: From Chaos to Calm. This book chronicles the connection between behavior in children and parental control. Dr. Beth Grosshans discusses how parents can help garner more respectful, cooperative, and controlled behavior from their children.
At her practice, Dr. Grosshans administered psychological assessments and intervention for individual adults and children as well as couples and families, While operating her practice, she maintained memberships with several professional organizations, including the New Jersey Psychological Association, the American Psychological Association, and the Association for the Advancement of Psychology. She also served as a board member of the New Jersey Psychological Association Foundation.
Dr. Beth Grosshans spent four years teaching a course at the Princeton Center for Teacher Education. In this role, she instructed teachers who were pursuing degrees as Montessori educators. Since her retirement, she divides her time between Manhattan and Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
