LAKE WEDOWEE--The 2015 Renew Our Rivers Lake Cleanup, sponsored by Alabama Power and Lake Wedowee Property Owners Association (LWPOA), took place Oct. 20-22. One hundred twenty hard-working volunteers filled two 30-yard dumpsters with trash collected from Lake Wedowee. The group was blessed with great weather, which made the cleanup a pleasant experience. The workers appreciated all the businesses that contributed drinks, snacks and lunches. Perryland Grocery donated snacks for each boat.
