Bharath Thampi’s Biography

I'm an independent journalist based in Kerala, India, with around 5 years of reporting experience. During this period, I have extensively covered topics of social, cultural and environmental relevance, particularly pertaining to Kerala. My work has been published in several mainstream platforms, like Nature (India), Aeon, Frontline Magazine, Dialogue Earth, FairPlanet, The News Minute, Inter Press Service, The Wire, Queerbeat, Roundglass Sustain, Rewilding Magazine and Village Square.

I firmly believe in the power of narrative storytelling in journalism and specialise in longform features. I'm a keen researcher and have produced a number of video documentaries, especially on environmental themes. I'm also the co-founder of an independent media platform - Voyance.
