El proyecto, además, ha permitido localizar ejemplares del insecto en un total de 70 poblaciones del Estado en lo que va de año, destacando la confirmación de su llegada a Galicia.

Por ejemplo, si queremos conocer los restaurantes, farmacias o centros de salud que tenemos cerca, solemos consultar mapas en línea. Sin embargo, hasta la fecha no existía la posibilidad de consultar información relativa a los mosquitos presentes en un determinado territorio ni a los lugares donde se registran picaduras.

En tiempos en que tenemos acceso a cualquier tipo de información sobre la ubicación de cualquier servicio, Google Maps o similares mediante, faltaba aún el mapa definitivo. Farmacias, aparcamientos, gasolineras, restaurantes, centros de salud, hoteles, áreas de descanso, pero… ¿y los mosquitos?

The snapshots include up to 1,000 different measurement parameters, and each engine can pump out between 50 to 200 megabytes of data per flight depending on the flight time. This gives us a massive amount of data.
