He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. The word masterpiece means: a work done with extraordinary skill; especially, a supreme intellectual and artistic achievement. After all, we are made in the image and likeness of Our Father.

r What does the Lord think of our problems? When you come to God, telling Him that all hell has broken loose in your life and this is the end, He doesn’t ring His hands. He knows all about it. And He doesn’t get perturbed about our response. When you come to Him with doubts and fears and anxieties and all the rest, He doesn’t get upset. He sits upon His throne (Psalm 47:8). He’s interested in whatever’s troubling you.

AS WE GET closer to the Lord’s return, scripture says that the world will “wax worse and worse” (2 Tim. 3:13). We hear about crazy things on the news every day. But we don’t have to be moved by them. You may wonder how that is even possible. The answer is found in the Old Testament. Many are hurt when we give in to negative emotions. 1 Samuel 18:5-16, 5 Whatever Saul asked David to do, David did it successfully. So Saul made him a commander over the men of war, an appointment that was welcomed by the people and Saul’s officers alike. 6 When the victorious Israelite army was returning home after David had killed the Philistine, women from all the towns of Israel came out to meet King Saul. The only sure way to be delivered from surrounding evil is to call upon God for help and strength. The condition of our nation should remind us as Christians to call upon God for we know He hears our cries. 1 I love you, Lord; you are my strength. 2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. As we see our nation being torn down and all the atrocities and injustice of abortions, caravans, opioid crisis, human trafficking and the list goes on, it makes us cry out “where are you God?” So, we remind ourselves God is still present and in control and in the end His truth, justice and rightlessness will prevail because He always has the last word. Let’s remember just where God is and that He is not unaware.

When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, many wonderful things happen simultaneously. Here are but two. Your Loving Father takes a pencil of iron tipped in diamond and engraves your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life, (Luke 10:20), and then engraves your name on the palm of His hand. (Isa 49:16). So, what is the unique quality of engraving? It’s permanent. Father then opens a bank account in your name and deposits all the riches and glory of His entire Kingdom in your account.

God is the God of love and He wanted to teach us about His love, so He sent His love down in the form of His Son, Jesus. Jesus stepped down from the Throne of the Universe and made Himself a thing of no value, so we may become Jewels of great price. The Father not only wanted to teach us about His love, He wanted us to know the depth of His love, to see the length of His love, to experience the height of His love, and to walk in the width of His love.

July 9, 1961 Cold War tensions were extreme as hundreds of East German refugees crossed daily into West Berlin to escape Communist rule. Just a few weeks later construction began on the Berlin Wall, which would stand for 30 years. Here is an excerpt from Billy Graham’s message on that day. An area of Asia with Hong Kong as its center, is known for averaging two major typhoons per year, approaching two hundred miles per hour. It is reported these mega storms of strange phenomena; such as glass bending, but not breaking and a single strand of straw piercing through a telephone pole. With all the destructive power of these storms, the casualty rate has been almost eliminated due to Hong Kong’s weather warning system.

Jesus Christ is the Creator of all life, the Giver of all life and the Sustainer of all life (Colossians 1:16). There is no life living that Our Creator has not ordained because Jesus doesn’t make mistakes. If you are alive today, it is because Jesus is sustaining your life. Acts 17: 28 says, “Jesus is our heart beat, our breath, in Him we live and move and have our being.” So, the question is, how did Jesus create you? The answer is found in Ephesians 2:10: For we are God’s masterpiece.

In 1967, Ronald Reagan delivered one of the most memorable lines of his storied career: “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” Likewise, our Founding Fathers knew not only Freedom but Christianity was only one generation away from extinction. Christianity is now several generations away from the Supreme Court Ruling in 1961-62 ruling to ban prayer and reading the Bible from public schools.

There is so much fear and misery across our nation and has been for some time, because our nation listens to man, (government leaders, and mass media), instead of listening to what our Father has to say. Satan is the father of all lies and the father of all fear, anxiety and worry. How do we know this? 2 Timothy 1:7. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but the Spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind.” If God has not given us a spirit of fear, then where does it come from?

As we embark upon this New Year, I remember a quote I once heard. “No one can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” As I began to think about this statement, the conclusion is that we don’t start over, but we begin anew, right now where we are, making things better for families, communities and ourselves.

What are the Psalms? You can find the Psalms right in the middle of your Bible. They are God’s word given to His people, to be spoken, sung and prayed back to him. We see Our God is good, faithful, sovereign and undeniable. Every petition of the Lord’s Prayer is found within the Psalms, everything in the entire spectrum of God’s kingdom, is found in both.

God will keep his people from the severe punishment awaiting the wicked. Since God is holy and just, we can be certain that the wicked tearing down our nation will not prevail. Psalms 94 (NLT):1 O Lord, the God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, let your glorious justice shine forth! 2 Arise, O Judge of the earth. Give the proud what they deserve. 3 How long, O Lord? How long will the wicked be allowed to gloat? 4 How long will they speak with arrogance? How long will these evil people boast?

God said so! How do we know whether it’s God’s will to heal us or not? It makes little difference what otherssay about it. What did He say about it? Remember that God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10: 34) and He never changes (Mal. 3:6). So what He said to them yesterday, He is saying to you today. God’s word is God speaking to me. Isaiah 40:12: Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, measured out the universe with the span of His hand, calculated the dust of the earth in a measure, weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance? The mass of the earth is 6.587 x 10 to the 21st power, which equals 6 sextillion 587 quintillion tons, or 3.2 oz. per cu. inch. God knows right down to the ounce how much the earth weighs. The sun is 330,000 times more massive than the earth.

The Purpose of Proverbs, (New Living Translation), what the book of Psalms is to prayer and devotional life, the book of Proverbs is to everyday life. Proverbs gives practical suggestions for effective living. This book is not just a collection of homey sayings; it contains deep spiritual insights dawn from experience. A proverb is a short, wise easy-to-remember saying that calls a person to action. It doesn’t argue about basic spiritual and moral beliefs; it assumes we already hold them.

On September 11, 2001, Stanley Praimnath (Pray–math) was working on the 81st floor of the World Trade Center South Tower when he saw an airplane flying directly toward him. Stanley prayed a quick prayer as he dove under a desk for protection: “Lord, I can’t do this! You take over!” The terrible impact of the plane crash trapped Stanley behind a wall of debris. But as he prayed and cried for help, Brian Clark, a worker from another office, heard and responded.
