It's very easy to feel disengaged and cynical about politics. Especially here in the USA. Flip through the TV news channels and you'll hear politicians and pundits spouting - with absolute certainty - conflicting 'facts' on just about any topic that can think of. Will project X produce Y amount of jobs or Z amount? Will tax rise A, produce result B or result C? Did president O really say thing F? Ok, we're running out of letters of the alphabet, but you get the idea.
