User Acceptance Testing
Testing isn’t always the most humorous of subjects but we do have at least one professional joke. A tester walks into a bar Orders a beer; Orders NULL beers; Orders 9999999 beers; Orders a bear; Orders -1 beers; Orders szdgskfhd; With that covered the bar is good and ready to welcome their first real customer, who promptly asks where the bathroom is, at which point the whole place catches fire and burns down.
Retirement strategies for the second half
There's no doubt the superannuation system, which turned 30 this year, has been a game changer. Inflation and recession worries While inflation was on the rise in the six months to December pushing up bond yields the impact for share markets was swamped by economic recovery from the pandemic and surging share markets so overall returns slowed but were still positive.
Size isn't everything

It is undeniable that very powerful forces in our society have placed unrelenting pressure on the system to reach for scale.
Shun the ratings racket
At a recent member information evening in Mt Gambier, some questions about how our fund had performed over the last year, and how we rated compared with our competitors, led to me explaining to members how the research house racket works. First Super’s policy is not to supply our data to any of the research houses. This is not because we’ve anything to hide, but because it wouldn’t be a great use of member resources.
