Emergomycosis Without Immunodeficiency
Emergomyces pasteurianus is a thermally dimorphic fungus first isolated in 1994 from a person with AIDS in Italy.1 The disease caused by this organism has been termed emergomycosis. Patients with emergomycosis have been documented across Europe (Italy, the Netherlands), Asia (China, India), Africa (South Africa, Uganda), and North America.2 Herein, we describe a patient with cutaneous emergomycosis due to E pasteurianus in an immunocompetent individual.

Super‐Ionic Conductor Soft Filler Promotes Li+ Transport in Integrated Cathode‐Electrolyte for Solid‐State Battery at Room Temperature
Composite polymer solid electrolytes (CPEs), possessing good rigid-flexible, are expected to be used in solid-state lithium metal batteries. The integration of fillers into polymer matrices emerges as a dominant strategy to improve Li+ transport and form a Li+-conducting electrode-electrolyte interface.

HSPB8 overexpression prevents disruption of blood‐brain barrier by promoting autophagic flux after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury
Heat shock protein B8(HSPB8) has been recently reported to confer neuroprotection against ischemia‐reperfusion(I/R)‐induced cerebral injury in vivo and in vitro. However, the molecular mechanism is still elusive. The present study focused on the effect of intracerebroventricular (i.c.v) delivery of lenti‐HSPB8 virus against neurological injury in a rat model of cerebral I/R and explored the underlying mechanism.
