A validation study of a consecutive interpreting test using many-facet Rasch analysis
Research background Validity refers to the degree to which a set of tests corresponds to what is measured, that is, whether a set of tests measures what is measured (Messick, 1989; Latief, 2009), also known as “the accuracy of measurement” (Sullivan, 2011, p. 1). It indicates the dependability of the assessment mainly by examining the consistency of testing results (Carmines and Zeller, 1979; Latief, 2009; Sullivan, 2011).
