Abstract Food insecurity is defined as the limited or uncertain availability of nutritious, adequate, and safe food, as well as a constrained potential to obtain suitable foods in socially acceptable manners. Food insecurity leads to both macro/micronutrient deficiency, making lactating women more vulnerable to inadequate human milk production and malnutrition during their optimal lactation period.
Abstract Adequate nutrition is an essential component of care and support for people living with HIV. Dietary diversity is a key indicator of diet quality and nutritional adequacy; however, evidence regarding dietary diversity practices among adults living with HIV in Ethiopia remains fragmented. Therefore, this systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to estimate the pooled prevalence of dietary diversity and identify its associated factors among HIV-positive adults in Ethiopia.
