Void Bastards was a lovely entry in 2019. I liked it so much I listed in my top ten games of that year. It was an interesting twist on injecting immersive sim elements into a Roguelite. This was my pre-Xbox Tavern time, so check out our review, where Mark gave a comprehensive explanation on why he thought it was ‘fine’ but not exemplary. Taking the same foundations as its predecessor – Wild Bastards is a Roguelite First-Person shooter that uses cel-shading.

Void Bastards is on its way to PS4 and Switch, according to ratings board
Toony roguelike shooter Void Bastards may be on its way to PlayStation 4 and Switch, according to a rating from the Entertainment Software Rating Board (via Eurogamer). Developer Blue Manchu didn’t say whether the game would or wouldn’t be ported to the PlayStation 4 or the Switch, but a ratings board often lets the cat out of the bag, despite a company’s best efforts. Earlier this year, PEGI seemed to suggest that Void Bastards would be making the leap to the PlayStation 4.
Void Bastards PS4 Version May Be Incoming, According to a PEGI Rating
A new rating from PEGI in Europe makes it seem as though strategy shooter Void Bastards will eventually come to the PlayStation 4. The “16” rating was filed on December 31, 2019 and only features the Sony platform listed under the “system” category. At the time of writing, further details on the matter remain publicly unknown.

Void Bastards isn’t half bad, I’ll give it that much. The game serves itself as a first-person shooter, one that comes with a fairly interesting space-based premise. You’ll take on the role of a randomly selected prisoner that’s unwillingly been sent on a mission to aid the Void Ark; a sizable spacecraft that’s become entangled in the deadly Sargasso Nebula.
