First regular job was to cover IT and technology for the Danish daily newspaper Ekstra Bladet.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Oh yes. Started out on an IBM Selectric. A veritable tank.
How is social media changing news?
Social media is breaking the framework that traditional media operate in, circumventing medias ownership of distributing news.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Uncle Duke.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To bring out the facts and tell them, truthfully, honest and fair.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Access to raw data
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Sentinel Visualizer (fmsasg.com) has been the powertool of much of my investigative work. Otherwise the usual suspects: .xls, .sql, etc.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter.
Who do you wish followed you?
Why did you become a journalist?
Always had it in the genes, the need to dig in and report what I find.

No.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Uncovering fraud in the European carbon market.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
You should go into investigative reporting. Nothing is more fulfilling - though also frustrating and hard.
