Bob Vitale’s Biography

I'm the editor of Prizm, a monthly news, politics, arts, entertainment and lifestyle magazine for the LGBTQ people and communities of Ohio. We also publish daily news and events coverage, as well as commentary from a growing stable of writers, at PrizmNews.com.

I have spent most of my journalism career (31 years and counting) in newspapers, and I spent most of my newspaper career covering government and politics in Ohio, Wisconsin and Washington, D.C.

I left newspapers for LGBTQ media in 2012. I was the editor and associate publisher of Outlook, a now-defunct LGBTQ magazine in Ohio, from 2012-2016. I became editor of Prizm when the magazine to guide production of our premiere issue in October 2017.

Prizm is a social enterprise of Equitas Health, an LGBTQ-focused, nonprofit health network that serves more than 67,000 people yearly through 17 offices in 11 Ohio cities.
