Social media has a two-side-of-the-coin effect on news; it's made it possible for news (fake and true) to reach a global audience faster.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means to convey the news, and most times, be lucky enough to convey the truth.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Through e-mail.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
A couple like, Grammarly, Headline CoSchedule Analyzer, WordPress.

Why did you become a journalist?
I've always been a writer, discovering journalism just felt like my beat and it worked naturally.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Nope.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
A feature piece on Prince.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Never assume you know it all. Like Pharrell Williams said, doubt yourself.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime on the week days.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Wasn't for me, but I once read one on postpartum depression that I thought was really brilliant.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
Haven't been lucky enough to have gotten one I could call "worst".
What's your favorite drink?
Yoghurt.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In bed. Stressing about why I'm not on a computer.
