Has it been discovered who built the hanging stand and noose?
Response to Happy Hoosier (Reply #7) Fri Sep 1, 2023, 11:48 AM that you would have to stand on it to attach the top beam and the noose. If it is strong enough to stand on, it's strong enough to at least try to choke someone out with the noose. Reply to this post Back to top Alert abuse Link here Permalink

How Have Your TV Watching Habits Changed Since The Writer's & Actor's Strike?......
Wed Aug 23, 2023, 12:31 PM For me - I'm getting to bed a lot earlier and am getting more than adequate sleep. I don't miss the late night talk shows or even the hosts. All they are showing are old re-runs of mostly outdated material. In a way I feel sorry for all the advertisers on these shows - because they are paying big money for naught. People aren't watching. Same goes for all the sit-coms and drama shows. All re-runs.
"Good Morning, Mr. Moran. Your client (Meadows) is no different than any other criminal defendant."
Response to Traildogbob (Reply #23) Tue Aug 22, 2023, 05:21 PM The idea that they work for the American people is totally foreign to them. My dad was career military and he always said that he didn't work for the Air Force, he worked for the American people. That always made a big impression on me as a child. So a child could understand what public service is, but the GOP cannot. Reply to this post Back to top Alert abuse Link here Permalink
Susan Sarandon sues over 'extensive problems' with $2m VT Dream House
Response to speak easy (Original post) Fri Aug 18, 2023, 06:41 PM And they all know each other. This job might ultimately get done to her satisfaction but it won’t be the last time she needs to pick up the phone. So good luck with all that, Susan. Medicare users, questions
Response to XanaDUer2 (Original post) Thu Aug 17, 2023, 05:51 PM Be advised that unless you are retiring from a company that had employee coverage, it will be an additional cost. Some employers, especially public employers offer a medicare supplemental policy. Those policies usually also include prescription coverage. They require a premium payment but can be your best alternative. Otherwise, each state offers a number of supplemental policies and part D prescription policies.

Response to debm55 (Original post) Thu Aug 10, 2023, 08:22 PM basically streaming they split it up and you are lucky if you get 8 each time. It is frustrating because by the time it comes back, I've either totally lost interest or forgotten what happened. Still, we may look back at this as the golden period, given how far behind the writers/actors strike will put us in the future. Still, I hope they get satisfaction... Hillary Clinton: The Weaponization of Loneliness
https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2023/08/hillary-clinton-essay-loneliness-epidemic/674921/ No paywall https://archive.li/hir1n The question that preoccupied me and many others over much of the past eight years is how our democracy became so susceptible to a would-be strongman and demagogue.
What's the scariest movie you ever watched on TV or the theater. It is not my thing. Long ago, I saw
Response to debm55 (Original post) Thu Jul 27, 2023, 03:55 PM 10. Ten Commandments Parents took me to see it for my 7th birthday. That green stuff that came out of the sky to kill children -- I checked under the bed every night and slept with the light on for a year and still had nightmares. Never could get into scaring myself for fun, left the scary shows for others. My uncle used to say I was made for schmaltz given my preference for Cary Grant and Doris Day movies back in the day. .
Why are conservatives so upset about Barbie?
Response to Yo_Mama_Been_Loggin (Original post) Tue Jul 25, 2023, 12:45 PM 7. Maybe because it's taking box office $ away from that winger/Nazi "Freedom" movie? Just read that ticket sales to that RW movie are heavily slanted to a weird strategy where others can pay forward for any number of tickets so "the poor can see it". Bullshit! Movie goers are seeing empty theaters instead as few actually arrive to claim their "free tickets".

Dear media, it's not news that roughly 70% of Republicans believe something insane
70% of Republicans ARE insane! They're delusional, and if you ask them a question they will only ever pick the most wrong, least truthful option.
Dan Reeves passes away at 77
Response to DemocratSinceBirth (Original post) Sat Jan 1, 2022, 02:43 PM 1. What a career he had! My first memories of him were as a halfback for Dallas. The ice bowl halfback option pass so "cool" to this 10 yr old kid. Reply to this post Back to top Alert abuse Link here Permalink
