Lightweight Insulating Porous Calcium Silicate Ceramics Fabricated Using High-Aspect-Ratio Whiskers
1 Introduction Porous CaSiO3 material is an emerging inorganic ceramic material with diverse applications such as thermal protection, biomedical fields, and so on [1-6]. The chemical composition of porous CaSiO3 mainly comprises [SiO4]4− long chains, Ca2+ ions, and bound water.
An open decoupled cell design achieving electricity generation and amplification through waste-to-energy conversion - Nature Communications
Abstract Conventional closed batteries are constrained by the electrical energy efficiency of 100%, inevitably leading to the reduction of electricity storage. In contrast, open decoupled batteries offer the possibility to break this limitation, but remain unexplored. Here, we develop a highly efficient and sustainable open decoupled battery through a three-electrodynamic-potential (3E) design, simultaneously realizing waste-to-energy conversion, power generation and energy storage.
Clinical value of high‐frequency ultrasound and serum miR‐92a‐3p in diabetic peripheral neuropathy
INTRODUCTION Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), representing the most severe, prevalent, and intricate complication of diabetes, poses a formidable challenge1. According to projections by the International Diabetes Federation, by 2045, an astonishing 629 million individuals will be living with diabetes or its precursor states2.
Electrochemical H/D isotope separation
Electrochemical H/D isotope separation Deuterium is widely utilized in scientific research, nuclear energy, and the pharmaceutical industry. However, the extremely similar physical and chemical properties of hydrogen isotopes, combined with the low abundance of deuterium, lead to high capital costs for current separation methods, low separation factors, and significant energy consumption.

Recycled Tandem Catalysts Promising Ultra‐low Overpotential Li‐CO2 Batteries
Lithium-carbon dioxide (Li-CO2) batteries are regarded as a prospective technology to relieve the pressure of greenhouse emissions but are confronted with sluggish CO2 redox kinetics and low energy efficiency. Developing highly efficient and low-cost catalysts to boost bidirectional activities is craved but remains a huge challenge.
A Disease-Prediction Protocol Integrating Triage Priority and BERT-Based Transfer Learning for Intelligent Triage
4.2. Results and Analysis For example, the confusion matrix shown in and allows analysis of the classification performance of LP methods before and after the integration of the diagnostic prioritization scheme. Most of the samples in five categories are classified as category 1 because the first category has the largest proportion of samples and has a larger weight in the training.
SAKit: an all-in-one analysis pipeline for identifying novel protein caused by variant events at genomic and transcriptic level
New Results doi: https://doi.org/10.1101/2023.03.06.531407 Abstract Summary: Genetic modifications that cause pivotal protein inactivation or abnormal activation may lead to cell signaling pathway change or even dysfunction, resulting in cancer and other diseases. In turn, dysfunction will further produce 'novel proteins' that do not exist in the canonical human proteome. Identification of novel proteins is meaningful for identifying promising drug targets and developing new therapies.
Intercalation-induced amorphous hydrated vanadium oxide for boosted aqueous Zn2+ storage
Intercalation-induced amorphous hydrated vanadium oxide for boosted aqueous Zn2+ storage Duo Chen, Boran Wang, Xueliang Cui, Hang Yang, Mengjie Lu, Dong Cai and Wei Han Abstract An amorphous hydrated vanadium oxide induced by Zn2+ intercalation in Mg-ion inserted V2O5·nH2O (MgVOH) is developed as high-performance cathode for ZIBs. In particular, zinc pyrovanadate as product of the second phase transition is found to suppress the dissolution issue of the vanadium species for cathode to...
Precise CO2 Reduction for Bilayer Graphene
Introduction The CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) is involved in hydro-deoxygenation (HDO), (1) C–C coupling, (2) and aromatization processes. (3) This reaction has received much attention for its significance in recycling CO2 into value-added chemical feedstock and exploring unique reaction pathways for transforming and utilizing CO2.
