Previously, Brett founded and led Google Cuba, where he negotiated the first-ever internet infrastructure agreements between the United States and Cuba alongside Eric Schmidt, enabling uncensored access to platforms like YouTube for the Cuban people. He launched the country’s first high-speed connectivity initiative—announced by President Obama—and played a key role in the U.S.–Cuba diplomatic reengagement.
