Let us be reminded of who we are: a people rooted in faith, resilience, responsibility and hope. In Michigan, we have experienced political discourse that has turned issues of Jewish safety and Jewish self-determination in Israel into political weapons rooted in vitriol, distortion and falsehoods. As we look toward November and our collective future, we continue to reject this disturbing rhetoric, particularly when it is echoed or tolerated by those in office and those seeking to hold office.
