Brian Jaeger
Brian Jaeger’s Biography
Here's what a former co-worker said of my writing: "You remind me of Mark Twain in Roughing It—meandering and funny and colorfully anecdotal. Wonderfully, though, you write with a light that Twain did not." Since I've never read Twain's Roughing It, I'll take her word for it. I'd also never say that about myself. I usually simply say I'm a good writer, and I want others to come along for the ride.
As a journalist, I'm really more of a columnist. As a columnist, I'm more of a blogger. As a blogger, I'm more of a journalist than most. Infotainment, I suppose, but without the colorful graphics and fear-mongering. Just colorful language and the hope that my writing can help to bring about something positive. I bet most journalists want this when it's all said and done, but you have to use what you're good at to get there.
