What was your first job as a journalist?

I am not a journalist, but I have written op-eds.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes. I learned to type on one.

How is social media changing news?

It's making the news move at the same pace that real-time news moves and it offers a venue for feedback and discussion.

Who do you wish followed you?

Influencers and people who I can mutually learn from.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I am married to a freelance journalist, so I think like a journalist. Interviewing students on topics like bee eradication is rewarding.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Work hard, do anything that comes up, dig deep and learn from veteran journalists.
