Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes. I could type up to 40 words a minute on a Smith Corona at one point.

Anyone can get news anywhere. Probably good and bad.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

I don't have one.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

Break a story. Make the common person some money.

What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?

The former governor from Illinois (Rod R.) being interviewed.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Microsoft Word and an IMac.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

The 'My Investment History' one is my favorite.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Be honest. Would you want your kids and grandkids to read your articles?
