Brian Haenchen’s Biography

My name is Brian Haenchen. I cover the Saint Louis Billikens men's basketball team for The University News and produce The Big Phat Sports Show on 590 The Fan KFNS.

I’m a proud 2009 graduate of Christian Brothers College High School, where I was editor-in-chief of the school newspaper (The Turret) for two years. During my senior year, I initiated the transition of the newspaper to an internet-only publication.

After high school, I enrolled in the School of Journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia. While at Mizzou, I wrote for The Maneater, the school’s student-run newspaper, which allowed me the opportunity to gain experience covering a variety of major events. I have since transferred to St. Louis University, where I am working towards a degree in Communication with an emphasis in journalism.

In addition to talking classes, I intern for the ITDRoll.com Morning After on 590 The Fan KFNS and run a small St. Louis-area sports website, Hank’s Sports Blog.
