Brian Erbis

Brian Erbis balances his time between working as a police detective and private security specialist in New York City. He began his work at the New York Police Department as a police officer for the 10th Precinct, where he worked in three separate platoons, including youth officer, plainclothes anticrime officer, and traffic safety officer. While in this position, Brian Erbis received the NYPD Meritorious and Excellent Police Duty medals.

Mr. Erbis served in this capacity for 11 years before moving up to work for the 10th Precinct Detective Squad in 2007. In this position, he investigated numerous types of complaints, including grand larceny, robbery, and burglary. After one year, Mr. Erbis received a promotion to detective of the same squad, for which he currently investigates the same types of complaints along with homicides and deaths. He has since transferred to the prestigious Midtown North Precinct where he again serves as a detective. Det. Erbis also has testified several times in court which resulted in successful prosecutions of individuals guilty of violent crimes.

In addition to his work on the force, Brian Erbis works in corporate security and serves as celebrity and executive protection for special events for Sirius XM Radio based out of New York City. He also worked as security director for Clinton Manor Associates, for which he managed in-house security for two apartment buildings. Mr. Erbis is also is in the process of starting a security consulting business.

Brian Erbis earned his associate’s degree in criminal justice from Nassau Community College in Garden City, New York. He then attended the NYPD Police Academy and has successfully completed numerous investigator courses given by the NYPD.
