I was a writer for a wellness center in Atlanta.

How is social media changing news?
Social media has put pressure on news outlets to chase clicks rather than tell stories in a way that truthfully portrays events.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means that I have the responsibility to make sense of complex topics and present them to the public in a simple digestible manner.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Email pitches but I am not too specific about it.

I use Clearscope and SurfSEO for SEO.

Why did you become a journalist?
I started writing in July 2020.

No, I didn't
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I wrote an article on healthy and unhealthy fats and I am quite proud of it.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Be patient. Better clients are on the way.

My current client, veterinarians.org. I get to write about cute pets everyday.

To write an article per day for $10.

Water, I swear.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
I would say most people think I just lightly read articles on the internet for my research yet I sometimes have to read over 10 studies.
