Why did you become a journalist?
I want to use my love of writing and people to make a difference in the world and tell stories that matter.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes, and I wrote an expose about cheating at the school.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Anything related to immigration or gun violence with vulnerable sources.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
It's all about grit and perseverance.

Anytime.

A tip about the horrible living conditions residents were facing on Chauncey street.

Anything lifestyle related— I don't cover that stuff.
What's your favorite drink?
Espresso Martini.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Riding horses.

That New York City is "dangerous" right now.
