Horlogemaker gezocht in Vlaanderen
New Seiko 5 is within COSC standards!
I know. While I enjoy accurate timepieces, I cringe, a little, every time I see similar claims. I seriously doubt most watches claimed to be "within COSC", come close to meeting the claim, in multiple positions, and at multiple temps. (I do understand the sentiment though) Also, because this is the Seiko forum, shouldn't accuracy claims be referencing the GS Chronometer Standard?
What do the Chinese characters on the dial of my Sea-Gull 1963 mean in English?
I just bought this nice 1963 reissue used from another WUS member. Can anybody explain to me what is written in Chinese on the dial? Or also on the see-through case-back? Thanks for any info!!! Bruno in Belgium
Do you change EVERY watch in your collection to Wintertime?
I true up whatever watch I put on in the morning. Some have wound down, others were on the winder, but over time get a bit off. So, because I will likely wear all my watches during "winter time", yes, I will set them to the correct time. I don't get all anal and run around before I go to bed the night before the change and change all my watches.
Is the movement in the SeaGull 1963 a VENUS 175?
