Comparative real-world analysis of stereotactic body radiotherapy versus conventional radiotherapy for Chinese patients with low- to intermediate-risk localised prostate cancer.
This study evaluated the 5-year biochemical progression-free survival (bPFS) rate and late toxicities associated with conventional radiotherapy (CRT) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) in Chinese patients with low-to intermediate-risk prostate cancer. A retrospective analysis was conducted in patients with low- to intermediate-risk prostate cancer who received CRT (76 Gy in 38 fractions) or SBRT (36.25 Gy in 5 fractions) between 2015 and 2019 at a hospital in Hong Kong.

Gilbert teen’s passion may finally yield a state drink
By CEcILiA CHAN, GSN Managing Editor Garrett Glover’s favorite beverage nowadays is lemonade – which is fitting as he’s pushing to make it Arizona’s official drink. The 18-year-old Gilbert teen got the ear of state Rep. Warren Petersen, who’s sponsoring House Bill 2692 to make it so. “I just think it would be a good acknowledgment of agriculture, citrus production in the state, as it is one of our five C’s,” the Gilbert Classical Academy senior said.

Highland High student seeks help to research giant turtles
Students led by a research assistant patrol a remote Costa Rican beach in the dark as the world’s largest sea turtles push their way onshore with their powerful front flippers to nest. The group’s eyes adjust to the night, and the assistant uses a red light to document data as students measure the turtles, count the eggs and note the behavior. Leatherback Sea Turtles, so-called because they lack a hard shell, can grow up to 7 feet in length and weigh up to 2,000 pounds.
Recurrence and Cancer‐Specific Death After Adjuvant Chemotherapy for Stage III Colon Cancer
The recommended standard of care for patients after resection of stage III colon cancer is adjuvant 5FU‐based chemotherapy – FOLFOX (fluorouracil, leucovorin with oxaliplatin) – or CAPOX (capecitabine, oxaliplatin). This may be modified in older patients or depending on comorbidity. This has been challenged recently, as the apparent benefit of adjuvant chemotherapy may arise from improvements in surgery or preoperative imaging or pathology staging.
