Fark NotNewsletter: Thanks for link #14 million! Out of all of them, which is your favorite?
________________________ A message from Drew Curtis: ________________________ Hey everyone hope your week's been well, given all the whathaveyous. Late Tuesday night Fark's link # 14,000,000 was submitted by Sinbin, who (based on the original tagline) originally hoped to have a TotalFark Discussion about sudden onset migraines. Thanks to an eagle-eyed admin who caught that it was number 14 million and re-tagged it.
Fark NotNewsletter: What's your favorite part about living in Interesting Times?
________________________ A message from Drew Curtis: ________________________ Hey everyone hope your week's been well. Reviewing recent news. Puerto Vallarta narco guy was last Monday. State of the Union was last Tuesday. Seems like months ago doesn't it? Living in Interesting Times sucks. Speaking of SOTU - we had some folks asking if it could be designated an Epic Thread. Insanely we've had a couple other candidates in just the past 10 days.
Fark NotNewsletter: What internet rabbit hole have you followed recently? (Drew's most recent: looking into the story about "overflowing toilets crippling Navy warship")
________________________ A message from Drew Curtis: ________________________ Hey everyone hope your week's been well. Wanted to share with you a weird rabbit hole I went down this week,. Starting Monday I started seeing a story pop up that didn't pass the smell test. Multiple stories appeared in the Fark queue claiming that the USS Gerald Ford's shiatters were broken, however none of them were recently from reputable news outlets. Except one. And it wasn't even the focus of that article.

Fark Party Host: melopene Description: Farkers go to Hollywood: LA Fark Party at the Rooftop Bar at Madame Tussauds Hollywood, April 18. Full weekend details in thread Date/Time: April 18, 2026 - 07:00 PM (local time) Party Info: Hold on, y'all, we 'bout to be the Clampetts.
Another LA Party question - what price point are y'all comfortable with for hotels? Should we lean cheaper and more basic vs nicer with more amenities? Trying to keep it affordable for everyone etc etc
Hampton Inn, 1133 Vine St (the one I'm initially leaning toward) Hollywood Historic Hotel, 5162 Melrose Ave Ramada Inn, 8585 Santa Monica Blvd What is the location of the main event, and how long will this entire event be? [encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com image 400x169] Location for Saturday is TBD based on what hotel we land at - preferably stumbling distance. Current plan is to end the Friday pub crawl at The Comedy Store for their 9 or 9:30pm show, but they also do a late night show at midnight.
Fark NotNewsletter: How's your year starting so far?
________________________ A message from Drew Curtis: ________________________ Hey everyone hope your week's been well. It hasn't been the greatest news week but that's the news cycle we've got. I'm struck by the headlines that would be completely incomprehensible even a year ago. I won't go too far into it but take a gander at what's been in the news cycle recently and imagine trying to explain this to future generations. Wild stuff. Buckle in, it's not over yet.
