An alumina-modified glassy carbon electrode: a robust platform for accurate nimodipine detection in pharmaceutical applications
An alumina-modified glassy carbon electrode: a robust platform for accurate nimodipine detection in pharmaceutical applications† Nimodipine (NMP) is a calcium channel blocker known for maintaining blood perfusion, particularly in the brain. Given its importance and widespread applicability, tracking NMP during industrial processes for both pharmaceutical dosage forms and raw material samples is crucial.
First report on the electrooxidation of vinpocetine using a modification free sensing platform: application to pharmaceutical formulations
First report on the electrooxidation of vinpocetine using a modification free sensing platform: application to pharmaceutical formulations† This study presents the first insights into vinpocetine (VIN) behavior, a nootropic compound, on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE). Cyclic voltammetry (CV) revealed an irreversible oxidation peak at +1.0 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), with pH dependency indicating proton involvement in the electrochemical reaction.
Exploiting the synergistic effects of combined carbon‐based materials for rape drug diazepam electrochemical sensing: application to simulated casework matrices
Diazepam (DZP), a long-lasting benzodiazepine and controlled substance, is prevalent on the illegal market, notably as a date rape drug. This study presents a novel electrochemical sensor (CPE/GCPE/MWCNTs) for DZP determination in lab routines. Characterized through LSV, EIS, and SEM, the sensor revealed a pH-dependent, irreversible reduction process at approximately -0.70 V ( <i>vs</i>. Ag/AgCl (sat)).
