How to Grieve When Loved Ones Leave for the Mission Field
I talk about my soon-to-be missionary parents often, and there’s pride on my face each time. I love to tell how the Lord has gifted them with a heart for the nations and how they’ve prayed for the opportunity to go for years. What I don’t talk about as much is my grief. It goes unnoticed. Even I don’t notice it sometimes, but then I’ll hear a random song and it sends me running to a quiet place to sob. Why do I cry alone? Because my emotions feel selfish. After all, my parents are following God’s call.
The Censorship Industrial Complex: A Quiet Threat to Free Speech
Unlike traditional censorship, the Censorship Industrial Complex operates through funding, information-sharing, and coordination rather than direct government bans. A single research report can be enough to get a bank account frozen or a social media post pulled—often without the flagged person or organization ever being told why. The Supreme Court’s 2024 ruling in NRA v. Vullo confirmed that coercing private companies to punish speech can violate the First Amendment.
Real-time single-particle imaging of functional lungs reveals mosaic-like patterns of aerosol deposition in alveoli
|
Abstract Inhaled pathogens, pollutants and therapeutics interact with the dynamic architecture of the alveoli, yet how individual particles move and deposit at cellular resolution remains unclear. Here, utilizing the crystal ribcage platform, we track aerosol transport in ex vivo, actively ventilated lungs using real-time fluorescence imaging with single-particle resolution, capturing droplet trajectories, free-flight motion, impact orientation and deposition timescales within functional alveoli.

Why Public Universities Shouldn’t Force Religious Clubs to Have Non-Religious Leaders | National Review
Students on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, N.C., in 2018. (Jonathan Drake/Reuters) Whether Christian, Muslim, conservative, or liberal, student groups are, and should be, free to require their leaders to adhere to their beliefs. NRPLUS MEMBER ARTICLE I magine if National Review’s editor-in-chief were Rachel Maddow. Your immediate thought (after perhaps picking yourself up off the floor) is the obvious: The content would communicate a vastly different message.
OPINION: All students win in Georgia Tech settlement with anti-abortion group
Caleb Dalton is legal counsel with the Christian legal group Alliance Defending Freedom and its Center for Academic Freedom, which represents Students for Life at Georgia Tech, a student group opposed to abortion. In this guest column, Dalton discusses today’s settlement by Georgia Tech of a lawsuit charging the school allowed student government leaders to withhold funding from groups with which it disagrees politically. $50,000 in damages and legal fees and has revised its policies.
Free speech protects the civil rights movements of the past, present, and future
The freedom to speak messages some people don’t want to hear is essential to civil rights. In fact, without the protections of the First Amendment, there probably wouldn’t have been a civil rights movement. Fifty-six years ago this spring, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. sat in a jail cell in Birmingham, Alabama. His crime? “Parading without a permit.” How was he supposed to get a permit? Permits came at the discretion of a city commission headed by the infamous segregationist Bull Connor.
This School Board Leader Tried to Rig a Public Forum in Favor of Transgender Advocates. That’s Unconstitutional.
Stacking the deck at the casino makes for bad feelings among friends. Things get more serious when you’re a government official stacking the deck at public forums with speakers in favor of your personal political views. That not only makes for bad public policy—it violates the First Amendment. The Prince William County Virginia School Board convened last Wednesday to vote on a proposed rule that would undermine the principle of student privacy between the sexes.
