Destination Leavenworth WA. With Outdoor Adventures Meetup Group
Leavenworth has been a destination for Washington residents and especially the Seattle area residents for quite some time. Leavenworth is a turn of the century logging town turned Bavarian Style village in the 1960s as a civil initiative. The main industry now is tourism with Leavenworth’s Front Street shops, wineries, restaurants, and Christmas lighting. But more importantly, it is an epicenter for outdoor enthusiasts.
HydroBlu Versa Flow Light-Weight Water Filter review
The HydroBlu Versa Flow Light-Weight Water Filter review was conducted over a four-day three-night backpacking trip in the Cascade mountains of Washington. The Versa Flow Light-Weight Filter was the only filter used for the entire four days. The Versa Flow Light-Weight Water Filter comes packaged with two 64oz collapsible canteens. The “inline” filter, a rubber tube, tube clamp, and bucket adaptor. What is a bucket adaptor you ask? More on that later.

Having worked with over a dozen snowshoe manufacturers over the last ten years I keep going back to my MSR Evo or Denali. MSR has a few similar offerings in the Revo, Trail Snowshoe and a couple others. But the main characteristics that put these snowshoes at the top of the list are mostly universal.
Brooks Range Tension 40 Tent Preview
Brooks Range has outdone themselves with this new offering for Summer 2014. I was a little afraid to take this featherweight (weighing in at barely four pounds) out in the late fall in the northwest. It rains a little out here. This little guy (with a full 40 square feet) of internal space held up like a champ in three separate torrential downpours. The tent comes ready to use out of the box. Guy lines are attached in the appropriate places. An ample supply of high quality “v” tent stakes.
